Code of Ethics
I hereby embrace this code of ethics as laid down by the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) and I certify that I shall abide by the constitution of this corporation and generally uphold the dignity of my profession and the Canadian Culinary Federation.
I shall place honour and the standing of our profession before personal advantage.
I shall not use unfair means to gain professional advancement or to injure the chance of another colleague to secure or hold employment.
I shall at all times conduct myself so as not to bring discredit to or dishonour upon the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC)
Young Chefs
Open to any person actively engaged in the preparation of food in a commercial establishment or is enrolled in a recognized course of culinary studies at a college, school or institute. Is actively involved in work/study in the trade of cooking at the time of the application.
$50 annually OR $5 monthly

Subscription to National Newsletters and Magazines – these publications have informative articles and recipes submitted by Industry Leaders in Canada.
Discounts on clothing, culinary tools and equipment on National CCFCC website. Product discounts at select national companies – i.e. Chef’s Hat
Involvement in culinary college and apprenticeship training advisory committees.
A national roster of members, updated every year.
CCFCC certificate, suitable for framing, CCFCC National Membership medal.
Distinctive CCFCC lapel pin.
International, National and Regional culinary shows are promoted and sponsored by the CCFCC and its branches.
Opportunities to hear and see world-renowned chefs and speakers at Regional and National conventions.
A chance to participate at Regional mini-conventions held every year.
Participation in the career enhancement of Junior Cook Apprentices.
Participate in hands-on workshops relevant to today’s chefs and cooks
Opportunity to network and socialize with industry professionals, colleagues, suppliers, and partners.

Applicants shall be deemed eligible for National Membership if they hold a valid Certificate of Qualification for the Trade of Cook (a TQ5 if trained with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1985) or similar Certification from any Province or Territory where applicable, or an equivalent Certificate from any member country of WorldChefs, or they must be currently working for a documented minimum eight (8) years in the Trade of Cook or as an instructor at an accredited College, Foodservices or Hospitality Institution.
$200 annually OR $20 monthly
+ $30 one-time initiation fee for new members

As a member of CCFCC North Vancouver Island you automatically become a member of both the national Canadian
Associated Member
This is open to individuals and businesses in the foodservice industry or related fields, including farmers, seafood harvesters, food producers, non-Red Seal culinary teachers, retailers, and passionate foodies.
By becoming a Branch Associate, you’ll join a network of professionals dedicated to supporting and growing the culinary community of North Vancouver Island. Gain access to exclusive events, valuable resources, and opportunities to connect with like-minded people in the industry.
