Hosted by the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market & the North Vancouver Island Culinary Association
Saturday, November 22, 2025 · Native Sons Hall
The North Vancouver Island Culinary Association (NVICA) is proud to partner with the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market for a special culinary event that brings holiday cooking back to its roots: FoodFest – Back to Basics: Holiday Feast Edition.
As part of our shared commitment to celebrating and supporting local agriculture, NVICA chefs will be onsite at Native Sons Hall preparing a full holiday feast using fresh, in-season ingredients sourced directly from market vendors. This hands-on showcase is designed to help home cooks rethink the traditional turkey dinner—proving that a delicious holiday meal doesn’t have to take all day.
Many of us were taught that a holiday turkey dinner requires hours in the kitchen. Our chefs are ready to show you a smarter, faster approach. During the event, they’ll demonstrate how to prepare a complete turkey dinner—with all the fixings and dessert—in about 90 minutes.
Why This Event Matters
FoodFest supports NVICA’s mission to:
Champion local growers, producers, and food businesses
Inspire and educate our community
Celebrate the rich food culture of North Vancouver Island
This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with farmers, explore seasonal ingredients, and learn time-saving techniques from professional chefs passionate about their craft.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 22, 2025, and join us for a delicious, informative, and community-focused celebration of local food.
Stay tuned—and come hungry!
