NVICA Culinary Field Trip – May 3rd
We’re in the early stages of planning a unique culinary field trip experience on May 3rd, and we’re reaching out to gauge member interest before confirming final details and pricing.
This day is designed to bring together great food, local producers, and hands-on learning in a relaxed, social setting.
What’s included:
A visit to Yellow Island Aquaculture for a shellfish farm tour
A stop at a local winery featuring spirit tastings
An outdoor cookout with chowder, fresh bread, and oysters
Ferry travel and a few additional curated local stops along the way
Proposed Itinerary
(subject to minor adjustments)
8:30 AM – Meet at ferry terminal (9:00 AM sailing)
9:30–10:30 AM – Coffee stop
11:00 AM–1:00 PM – Aquaculture visit
1:30–2:30 PM – Winery tasting
2:45–4:45 PM – Cookout at Rebecca Spit
5:00 PM – Return to ferry terminal (5:25 PM sailing)
At this stage, we’re finalizing logistics and costs, but would like to get a sense of participation.
